Plain-English Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
OTD Books is a solo bookkeeping practice owned and operated by Jeff Holliday in Maple Valley, WA. This page explains what information we collect when you visit otdbooks.com or contact us, why we collect it, and what we do with it. No lawyers wrote this — it's the truth, plainly.
What we collect
Website analytics (Google Analytics 4). If you accept cookies on this site, we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Q0V0NNJDSB) to understand which pages people visit, which traffic sources work, and roughly where in the country visitors come from. We've enabled IP anonymization. If you decline cookies in the banner, GA4 does not load — no tracking at all.
Contact form submissions. When you submit a contact form or request a free consultation, the form goes through Netlify Forms and lands in Jeff's inbox at jeff.holliday@otdbooks.com. We see your name, email, optional phone number, and your message. We use that information to respond to you and follow up if there's a fit. We don't add you to a marketing list.
What we don't collect. No advertising trackers. No social pixels. No retargeting. No data sold or shared with brokers.
Who we share with
- Google Analytics — anonymized pageview data, only if you've accepted cookies. Google's privacy policy.
- Netlify — hosts the website and processes contact-form submissions. Netlify's privacy policy.
- Google Workspace — receives your form submission as an email in Jeff's inbox.
That's the entire list. We don't share contact-form content with anyone else.
Client engagement data
If you become an OTD Books bookkeeping client, the additional information we handle (your QuickBooks Online file, bank/credit-card statements, vendor records, tax-related documents) is governed by your engagement letter, not this website privacy policy. Client data is never shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than performing the bookkeeping services you've engaged us for.
Your choices
- Decline analytics. Click "Decline" on the cookie banner at the bottom of any page. GA4 will not load. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
- Delete your data. If you've sent a contact-form message and want it deleted from Jeff's inbox, email jeff.holliday@otdbooks.com with "delete my message" in the subject line and we'll handle it.
- Browser-level opt-out. You can install the official Google Analytics opt-out extension to block GA4 across all sites.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged in a banner at the top of the site for at least 14 days.
