Terms of Service
Last updated: May 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of otdbooks.com and any informational content we publish here. Engagement of OTD Books for paid bookkeeping services is governed by a separate, signed engagement letter — these site terms do not constitute a service agreement.
No professional advice
Content on otdbooks.com is for general informational purposes only. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice for your specific situation. You should consult a qualified professional (your CPA, EA, attorney, or financial advisor) before making decisions based on information on this site.
No engagement until written
Browsing this site, sending a contact-form message, or having an exploratory phone call does not create a professional engagement between you and OTD Books. A bookkeeping engagement begins only when both parties sign a written engagement letter and the agreed retainer (if any) is paid.
Accuracy
We try to keep everything on this site current and accurate, but tax law, software, and pricing change. If you spot an error, email jeff.holliday@otdbooks.com and we'll fix it. We make no warranty that information here will be free of errors or up to date.

The OTD Books name, the clock-as-monogram logo, written content, and brand design on this site are owned by OTD Books LLC. You may link to pages on the site freely. Please don't republish substantial portions of the content without permission.
External links
We link to third-party sites (Google, Netlify, the IRS, etc.) where it's helpful. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OTD Books LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
